About William

William Oaks is a senior majoring in global studies and history with and honors concentration. His research focus is the impact of the French Revolution on the German Rhineland, specifically its effects on national identity, class divisions, and German-French relations. In addition to his research, he has worked as an intern archivist and preservationist at the Tennessee Archive of Moving Image and Sound and a technology specialist with the University of Tennessee Student Union. When not in the classroom or the library, he can be heard DJing on 90.3 WUTK, which is the University of Tennessee’s student radio station.
